G.I.T. Episode 1

"Awesomesauce."

I'm not one for sprite movies, but it was all pretty original. Knowing you, you've put loads of effort into this, and it translates. The script was pretty tight- I notice alot of amateur flashes seem to have been made up as they went along. This one's been thought about. Style, well. Yeah, it had the style, that's for sure. The sound is all there, although I can't give you full score on that cause it's not got a huge amount. Violence? Well, the computer caught fire, I guess. Humor goes back to the script- You've put in just the right amount of everything. Added to favs.

Family Guy :Fighting Game

"You've got talent."

date: December 4, 2006

I can understand that you put alot of effort into this, alot which many of us do not have the commitment or skill to make.

Graphics: You're a very talented drawer, I'll give you that. The opening sequence was too good, if anything- It made me think slightly too highly of the game. Although this proves to me that you could make a perfectly good animation. I have to say, though, when Peter finished off the chicken, in the little animation between the fight and the 'You win' screen, he didn't look quite like Peter. Can't put my finger on why. I'm just a little paranoid. 8/10.

Style: Pretty generic. There's nothing new about the art style or gameplay, but you've done it well enough, so I can't complain. 5/10.

Sound: Nice Peter clips, music was okay. Nothing new on there, to my knowledge, but the quality was consistent. A bit more variety would have been nice. The odd exclamation of Peter yelling something during the fight, or whatever. However, I'm aware that you'd have to add alot, otherwise, I'd be here complaining about how it was grating listening to them repeat the same phrases repeatedly. 5/10 (I'd make it 5.5, but I'm pretty undecided about the sound.)

Violence: Eh, wasn't too violent, but it's not something you want to sit a 6 year old in front of. Unless you enjoy making six-year olds feel bad. It's a fighting game. What more do you want? 7/10.

Interactivity (Gameplay): Didn't really think it was that great. Reminded me of SSBM, however, there were only three to five hit kills, the jewels were too hard to reach, and it was kinda hard to tell what part of the level you were on. Try to add more depth to certain sections so it doesn't look like they're floating. 4/10

Humor: I don't really watch FG that much, it's funny, but it's not really my style of humor. Nevertheless, I respect Seth MacFarlane's work, and I respect what you've done with it. 5/10.

Overall: 6/10. I feel a bit harsh giving you that score, but I've given better submissions than this 7s and 8s. I only checked this out cause my friend was playing it, and the Giant Chicken scene was one of my favourite FG scenes. Add more features. If you have more time, add an AI (I've read your comments on that, so I get that you weren't able to add one you were satisfied with), and add a few more characters and levels. A Family Guy:Fighting Game V2 would be nice to see in the future. Good luck with your flash, whatever you choose to do.

Neon 2

"The New Numa of flash games."

submission: Neon 2
date: October 14, 2006

Graphics: Good, the scrolling map was nice, KISS rule applies (Keep It Simple, Stupid) so no complaints here. The animation was smooth and flowing, although it didn't look as sharp as the original.

Style: The first one oozed style. This one's stylish, but it's lost some of its charm. (thus the summary. This one's clearly been made with alot more skill, but it lacks the feel of the first one.. I can't really explain it. I think it may be attributed to the scrolling map).

Sound: Bleep. Miap. Bleep. Bleep. Dull BG music. Not exactly Mozart, is it? But there's not really much more you can do to the sound, so I'll give it a 7 anyway.

Violence: Chevron blows up squares and hexagons. Sometimes the squares separate into little squares. ZOMG. Don't worry about it, though. If the squares bled, and vomited intestines every time you shot them, that'd just be grating.

Interactivity: It's a game, and a very playable one. Whatmoredayawant.

Humor: Ha. The shape blew up the other shape. Not meant to be funny, and it isn't.

Overall: 8 This is a very good game, just not a great sequel. Don't worry about a Neon 3. If you're going to use that scrolling engine, I'd suggest more detailed graphics. But its up to you. I know how many painful hours it takes to make flash from friends.
